This is probably an outgrowth of the people who wrote the news story. Being that I live in a desert, the temperatures rarely get near freezing--but they certainly can--midwinter temperatures that drop into the 30s can and do occur. Being from Minnesota, I know what actual freezing is. However, get an Arizonan to talk about an extremely cold night and you'll get different answers on if it was "freezing temperatures" or not.

yeh im with you chis...i wish people would treat animals just the same, i mean they are such nice dogs cats and all the othewr animals out there. And it just makes me sad that humans would do stuff like these like abandoning animals liek they are some unwanting animal. Or useing them as a tool....it just makes me so sad...

What a beautiful story...if only people would be as kind to the animals as the animals are to us as demonstrated in this story.

Well of course they did! It's the CHICKEN SOUPY way to be. They HAD to be his ANGELS until a good human came along to bring him home. Perhaps the people of that town will act more kindly to stray cats from now on I pray.BEAROOO
