Perhaps I should have titled this post “Owning exotic pets, eratta” but it’s not really about corrections. Earlier this week, we blogged about some of the dangers of young children caring for exotic pets—namely the presence of salmonella—and connected the requisite article, but ideally I think we should also offer resources to people.
After publishing that article and commentary we were contacted by KeepingExoticPets, a website that hails from the UK. While PETS 911 is based almost entirely in the USA right now, we are happy to deliver our readers solid and good information on animal welfare and pet ownership. The website has numerous articles covering numerous facets of exotic pet ownership and may work as a good springboard for any interested persons.
I am fairly impressed by the breadth of knowledge and the clean format. And immediately on the first page is a fairly well delivered advice article on how to find a vet for your exotic pet.
Of course, PETS 911 cannot endorse this site and we are not affiliated; so use your own sound judgment and the instructions of your veterinarian when making decisions.
